The Social and Emotional Well-Being Program caters for both Goori men and women (dubais) who may be finding life rough at times. SEWB is not a Drug and Alcohol Program and it doesn't deal with Mental Illness. The role of the Social and Emotional Well-Being Officer is to bridge the gap between these two areas, it provides a counselling function for our clients, and often just having someone to talk to makes life more bearable.
I work in partnership with our Drug and Alcohol Worker in the Boomerang Program , and Community Health (North Coast Area Health Service), referrals are arranged where necessary.
I cover Casino, Coraki, Kyogle, Tabulam, Muli / Woodenbong, and Bonalbo areas, where I make home visits, school talks and run group sessions.
So if life is treating you rough - give me a call, I'm here to listen and help
